Dear Friends,
Thanksgiving. The crackle of dry leaves and the sting of autumn air in our nostrils are sure signs of the times. In just a few days we will celebrate the memory of those few struggling pilgrims who endured disease and privation in an untamed wilderness so that they could live and worship according to the dictates of their own consciences.
Today I’m thankful for what they did – for their courage and faith, and for the principles of freedom that motivated their sacrifice.
I’m thankful for those who followed them, taking up the cause of freedom and establishing a new kind of society with liberty for everyone, not just the strong and the right.
I’m especially thankful that the founders of this nation rejected the conventional formula of church-state unity, and instead built religious freedom into the very foundation of the American government.
After all, it was here in this land of liberty that God chose to nurture the seeds of prophetic truth that would spread around the world – that end-time message portrayed by the three angels of Revelation 14.
I’m grateful to God for the privilege of living at a time when the state of society and the affairs of nations look very much like the conditions predicted in the books of Daniel and Revelation. These signs of the times fill me with great hope that the end is near.
Look, for example, at the expanding role of the Church of Rome in forging new relationships among the great religions of the world – and its growing influence as a unifying force within the Christian world. It’s not hard to match all this with the prophetic symbols of world domination during the final era of this world’s history.
Consider, too, that as the nations of the world struggle with the current financial crisis the voice from the Vatican calls for a new kind of centralized political authority that would transcend national interests and manage the global economy in harmony with Christian ethics. This linkage of religious, economic, and political factors invites close comparison to the mark-of-the-beast scenario of Revelation 13.
I’m thankful that God has allowed LLT to have a small part in preparing men and women around the world to face the issues that lie before us. And I’m thankful for every person who has supported our mission with monetary gifts, prayers, and encouragement.
The Mandarin Seventh Day series
I am extremely grateful and excited to tell you that the Mandarin version of the Seventh Day series will be in our hands very shortly! Plans are to stream it over the Internet in Hong Kong and mainland China, and possibly even on a television broadcast. Additional good news is that even if you don’t speak Mandarin, you can be involved in the project with contributions to help cover the final costs of production. (We have actually gone into debt in order to bring this project to completion.)
We are excited, too, over plans to produce Mandarin translations of our informational websites, www.sabbathhistory.com and www.sabbathintersections.com, and post them with Chinese Internet addresses. Truly, we would be delighted for those websites to be translated into every language!

Those two websites I just mentioned are up and running on the Internet right now.
